Compass Plus Technologies honoured with another triple win at the Global Banking & Finance Awards

Compass Plus Technologies has received three prestigious accolades at the 2025 Global Banking & Finance Awards for the second year running, including: Best Card Issuing Technology Provider Kenya, Most Innovative Mobile Payments Integration Mongolia, and Best Payment Technology Solution Provider South Asia.

The award for Best Card Issuing Technology Provider Kenya recognises the company’s collaboration with KCB Bank, the largest financial institution in East Africa. Together, they launched the country’s first platinum multi-currency prepaid card. Supporting 18 currencies, the card gives customers greater flexibility when transacting internationally while helping users avoid the typical exchange fees associated with currency conversion - a major step forward in cross-border payments for the region.

In Mongolia, Compass Plus Technologies earned the Most Innovative Mobile Payments Integration award for its collaboration with Trade & Development Bank of Mongolia (TDBM) to bring Apple Pay to the country for the first time. This strengthens TDBM’s position as a leader in mobile payments in Mongolia and reflects a shared commitment to enhancing customer experience through innovation and secure digital solutions.

The Best Payment Technology Solution South Asia award recognises Compass Plus Technologies’ impactful initiatives in both Nepal and Bangladesh. In Nepal, the company supported Fonepay in launching the country’s first virtual credit card, providing a strong local alternative to those offered by international card networks. In Bangladesh, it enabled City Bank and Mutual Trust Bank to upgrade their e-commerce businesses through a new state-of-the-art payment gateway, powering faster, more secure online payments for thousands of customers and merchants.
