Implementation engineer

The role of the Implementation Engineer is to provide technical services for the preparation, installation and configuration of Compass Plus Technologies and third parties’ software products during the implementation of projects; technical support for clients; certification and testing services.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Analysis of requirements for the planning and execution of project implementation
  • Ability to perform tasks within agreed deadlines, both on-site at the company's or customer's premises
  • Installation and configuration of server operating systems (Windows, Linux, HP-UNIX, and Solaris), Oracle database, as well as other third-party products required to run company’s software products
  • Installation, configuration to the customer’s requirements, and implementation of the company’s software products at the customers’ premises
  • Test performance and certification procedures for company, customer and partner projects
  • Technical and information support for customers in the process of certification with international card schemes
  • Technical and information support for company employees
  • Maintenance of required project documentation as part of the project team
  • Submission of project reports as a part of the project team
  • Weekly reports on the results of the project tasks implementation
  • Participation in the development of algorithms and procedures for products certification and testing
  • Participation in the development and preparation of regulatory documents to improve the methods and quality of work

Desired skills and experience (minimum requirements):

  • IT/business/computer science/engineering/project management qualification/degree
  • English language knowledge - not less than С1(ALTE)
  • Knowledge and experience of operating systems server versions (Windows, Linux, HP-UNIX, Solaris), as well as Oracle database
  • Knowledge of EFT and retail banking technology
  • Knowledge of international card schemes
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Excellent communication skills

Highly desired skills:

  • At least 3 years’ experience of working in IT companies, processors, banks
  • Knowledge of the basic principles of project management
  • Creativity and the desire for self-development
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision and be results-driven
