Sales manager

This is a business development and sales position. Working with the relationship management team, the successful candidate is expected to develop new business with potential customers in software products licensing, professional services and processing services, along with third party products and services sales. The Sales Manager will work closely with prospective customers to include banks, processing centres and service bureaus, etc. This role involves extensive travel.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Establish and enhance relationships between the company and its potential customers
  • Establish and manage a long-term contractual relationship with the selected customer base
  • Be accountable for the day-to-day management of prospects and customers
  • Achieve and maintain the agreed service levels for potential customers on both technical and business matters
  • Provide a development path for the customer
  • Support the preparation of contractual documentation
  • Participate in product, customer and country based research projects
  • Deliver product and solution presentations to potential customers and business partners
  • Research and report on current and potential industry trends
  • Convey the company's strategy and marketing messages to the market
  • Create value propositions and communicate the benefits of these to the market
  • Work with the Marketing Division to co-ordinate marketing activities in order to generate leads
  • Create and manage bid teams
  • Manage business partner relationships

 

Desired skills and experience (minimum requirements):

  • Economics/finance/marketing/business related degree
  • Strong knowledge of the EFT and retail banking industry
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong knowledge of strategic public relations: relationship management, expectations management, conflict management through effective communications, etc.
  • Ability to work in a global team environment and independently
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Availability for extensive travel
  • Public speaking experience in demonstrating software solutions
  • Proven sales skills
  • · A minimum 3-5 years of pre-sales/account/consultancy experience in the EFT and/or retail banking industry
